琴平金刀比羅宮に続く参道22段目に佇む温泉旅館「桜の抄」

In early Japan, May 5th was the day for wishing family’s safety and health by decorating a bunch of sweet flags on the front door and taking a sweet flag bath in the era of Nara. It became the origin of Boy’s festival in Japan although it was not only for boys yet at that time.

It was also believed that a sweet flag has the power to protect from evils, and can be used as an herb which improves the blood circulation.
